Information for Laboratory Staff

Laboratory staff include any laboratory worker engaged in a technical capacity whether student, employee or visiting scientist.

The laboratory staff is responsible for:

1. Rigorously and conscientiously following laboratory-specific biosafety practices and procedures.
2. Reporting all problems, spills, violations in procedure immediately to the PI or laboratory supervisor. Reporting any significant violations in biosafety policy, practices or procedures that are not resolved by the PI in a reasonable amount of time to the BSO.
3. Knowing all emergency procedures established by the PI.
