NIOSH pocket guide - This handy reference contains basic chemical information on most common industrial chemicals. It's easy to use and free. Material safety data sheets (MSDS) provide safety information on the use, storage, and cleanup of chemicals in the workplace. Each manufacturer or supplier should provide you an MSDS when you purchase a material for use in your lab.
