Instructions to Animal User Course on MyCourses
In order to facilitate the laboratory animal user training requirements for all personnel working on IACUC protocols, the Office of Regulatory Compliance (http://www.orc.msstate.edu) has developed an on-line training course. This course replaces the group training sessions that have been provided in the past. Personnel requiring the course may download and study the course literature at any time. An online test, with an 80 percent pass rate, is then required to demonstrate an acceptable understanding of the course material. The test may be taken at any time, and it is available through the university's MyCourses platform at https://mycourses.msstate.edu/webct/authenticateUser.dowebct. As a reminder, all personnel working on all IACUC protocols must satisfactorily complete the animal user course PRIOR to beginning any work on an IACUC approved protocol, and then again once every four years.
The next page further details instructions for accessing the on-line course and test. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Lucy Senter (senter@research.msstate.edu).
