Radiological Safety
Mississippi State University has been issued an educational broad scope radioactive materials license by the Mississippi State Department of Health, Division of Radiological Health. Our license allows University faculty and students to use radioactive materials in teaching and research activities.
The University Radiological, Chemical, and Laboratory Safety, Policy and Procedure Statement can be viewed online.
The Radiological, Chemical, and Laboratory Safety Committee (link opens a new page) must review and approve all proposed uses of radioactive materials before work begins.
