Our Story:

The Office of Research Compliance is a unit of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development. ORC provides support and training in the regulatory requirements for the conduct of scientific research for University faculty members, researchers, students. To that end, ORC oversees programs in human research protections, animal care and use, financial conflict of interest, responsible conduct of research, and biological safety.

The regulatory oversight committees include the Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research (IRB), the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Conflict of Interest Review Committee (CIRC), and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).
