What elements of consent are required for projects eligible for an Exempt Determination?

Projects eligible for an Exemption Determination are exempt from many elements of the consent process. However, the following four disclosures must be made to participants of these projects unless there is justification for not doing so:

  1. The study involves research
  2. The procedures of the study
  3. Contact information for the researcher (and advisor, if applicable)
  4. That participation is voluntary.
