Does my project require IRB approval?

All projects that meet the regulatory definitions for research and human subject require IRB approval.

Studies for internal management purposes (for example: program evaluation, quality assurance, or quality improvement) are not research because the intent is not to provide generalizable knowledge, but to apply findings only to that particular program or activity.
